Iraqi army trying to cut off water supply in the camp

Today, the resistance of Makhmour camp (the martyr Rustam Judy) entered its tenth day, despite all the army's attempts that did not stop, which escalated by intensifying its movements in the area, amid its endeavor to control the well that supplies the camp with water in an attempt to cut it off.

Since May 20, the Iraqi army has been trying to besiege Makhmour camp (martyr Rustam Judy), which was sponsored by the United Nations and officially recognized as a refugee camp in 2011, and surrounded by trenches, barbed wire, and military observation points.

Since yesterday morning, the vicinity of Makhmour camp, which includes 12,000 refugees, has witnessed intensive movements of the Iraqi army in an attempt to besiege the camp, but the resistance shown by the people there limited that, according to what the camp residents told ANHA agency.

Since the first day, the camp's residents have faced the Iraqi army's attempts, by taking turns standing in the face of military vehicles, armored vehicles, and watch towers brought in by the Iraqi army to besiege the camp.
