AANES is ready to receive Syrian refugees in Lebanon

The Autonomous Administration has expressed its readiness to receive Syrian refugees in Lebanon without discrimination and as a humanitarian, moral and patriotic duty. It also called on the United Nations to open a humanitarian corridor between Lebanon and its regions to facilitate their return.

The Co-Chair of the Department of External Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Badran Çia Kurd, confirmed through a statement on that the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is ready to help the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, as part of the initiative it launched on April 18 to resolve the Syrian crisis.

Çia Kurd said: "Lebanon has been suffering, during the past years, from internal crises and a clear rift in various fields, there is an economic situation and repercussions that are increasing as a great burden in Lebanon, in addition to stopping of the political process, we hope Lebanon and its people will soon overcome this impasse.

Çia Kurd added, "One of the consequences of the Syrian crisis is displacement and migration of millions, where Lebanon was one of the destinations for our Syrian people, as the Syrian refugees in Lebanon suffer from a very bad situation."

" Within the initiative that we launched on April 18, there was a basic clause about the refugees, so the doors of the Autonomous Administration areas: "are open to all Syrians without Discrimination as a human, moral and patriotic duty, and we want to fulfill this duty based on our keenness and determination to provide better climates,” he explained.

Çia Kurd also called on the United Nations to carry out its duties and open a humanitarian corridor to facilitate the return of these refugees.

Çia Kurd made the point clear that: "We are ready to receive and provide services and aid within our capabilities," considering that "this dilemma is a humanitarian issue and we must cooperate with us to solve it.Deportation of refugees to Syria is illegal and disproportionate with the values, standards and laws of refugee protection, this situation must be dealt with as quickly as possible, in light of our readiness to receive them.
