​​​​​​​Ocalan attorneys apply for access

The lawyers of Al-Asr Office, Ibrahim Bilmes, Nowruz Uysal, Mazloum Deng, and Cengiz Yurkali, submitted a request to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and a prison administration in Imrali in order to meet with their client, the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who lives in difficult conditions, as the isolation imposed on him, and the detainees imrali others; Omar Khairi Konar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş, without receiving any information about him since March 25, 2021.

Leader Ocalan has been waging a historic resistance against absolute isolation inside a maximum security prison in Imrali, since the date of his arrest during an international conspiracy in 1999.

It is worth noting that the lawyers of the leader Abdullah Ocalan met with him after 8 years on May 2-22, and on June 12-18 and August 7, 2019, and since that date, their requests to meet with the leader have not been answered.

The Turkish authorities impose strict isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained in Imrali Island prison since February 15, 1999, following an international conspiracy that led to his abduction in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and his handover to the Turkish authorities.
