Iranian court sentences an activist to more than 3 years in prison

The "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Women, Life, Freedom) uprising continues in Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) and Iran, which erupted following the killing of the Kurdish young woman, Gina Amini, at the hands of the "morality police" in mid-September 2022.

Despite the killings, arrest campaigns, and executions of protesters by the Iranian state authorities, these protests maintain their momentum.

Recently, the "Revolutionary Court" of the Iranian state in the city of Sinnah sentenced the feminist activist and member of the Jineology, Shilan Kurdistani, to more than 3 years in prison.

According to Roj news agency, according to the Kordba news website, "The first branch of the Revolutionary Court in the city of Sinnah, in Eastern Kurdistan, has sentenced the feminist activist Shilan Kordestani to 3 years and 4 months in prison."

The court sentenced the feminist activist and member of Jineology, Shilan Kurdistani, for her calls against the Iranian government, according to the agency.

It should be noted that Shilan Kurdistani was arrested during the protests of October 23, 2022 and later released on bail.
