On March 8...K. Star: Our struggle will inevitably win as our organization, free will

Today (March 8 of each year) falls on International Women's Day, and on this occasion, the Kongra Star Council issued a written statement, in which it congratulated all women in the world, in the person of the activists (Rosa Luxemburg, Laila Qassem, Laila, Sarah, Fidan, Jina Amini, and Jian Tolhadan and Nakhan, Hind and Saada, Çîçek and Zainab) and other martyrs.

The statement, a copy of which we received, confirmed that this day (i.e. International Women's Day) represents the spirit of resistance and struggle of women over hundreds of years to liberate them from the shackles of the authoritarian patriarchal mentality.

The Council saluted the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who showed through his ideas that he is the true friend of women," in addition to the resistance of women and peoples in Iran against the oppressive Iranian state.

The Council stressed that for the first time in the history of Kurdistan, the Middle East and humanity, peoples are rising together around the slogan of women, against the brutal and oppressive regime of the state and the ruling powers, saying, "where the common slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (women, life, freedom) has turned into a global slogan due to the society sees its freedom in the women's.

It explained that this slogan shows the spreading of "the ideas and opinions of our leader", and also indicates the spread of ideas of women's freedom in the Middle East and the world.

The Council affirmed, "With great struggle and determination, the women of Rojava and North and East Syria have brought the resistance and struggle for the cause of freedom to its climax, as they have turned the Rojava revolution today into a women's revolution," noting that "on this day, thousands of women demonstrated in New York to protest the conditions of the inhumane work they were living through, and this demonstration constituted a prelude to women obtaining more rights and dedicating March 8 of each year to celebrate their achievements.

In this regard, it said, "We are following the march of resistance and struggle from the historical legacy of the resistance of women working in the textile factory, our history is full of blood and the sacrifices of women whose struggle was credited for our revolution to rise to this level, and for us to achieve the gains of the women's revolution."

The Council noted that with the development of women's struggle for women's freedom all over the world, the circle of attacks by the authoritarian patriarchal system is expanding more and more, foremost of which are the attacks of the fascist Turkish state, where female leaders are targeted and assassinated.

The Council praised the resistance of women in NE Syria against the regime of domination, which destroyed all accounts and plans of the occupation, and said "This means that the struggle of women for freedom is developing, and renewing the cells of life again, so with our organization, free will, our struggle for women's freedom will inevitably win, and authoritarian, immoral patriarchy will be defeated."

The Kongra Star Council pledged to continue the resistance and struggle until victory was achieved, and appealed to all women to "rise up, to be in the squares until the victory of freedom. Struggle in all fields of life will be the way for liberation and ending violence against women."

It stressed, "Women's organizations must work and resist at every moment to achieve freedom for all women in the world."
