IDM meets Hakan Fidan... Iraqi sovereignty is under Turkish attacks
Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed al-Abbasi met with the head of Turkish intelligence, Hakan Fidan, on a visit to Turkey, at a time when Iraqi sovereignty is under constant Turkish attacks.

Today, Friday, Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi visited Turkey, and met the Turkish President's advisor for intelligence affairs, Hakan Fidan.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint cooperation between Iraq and Turkey, especially in the intelligence, according to local media.
The visit to the Iraqi Minister of Defense comes at a time when the Turkish occupation has increased its attacks on Iraqi territory, as a Turkish occupation drone targeted, on February 27, a car of two leaders in the 80th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Units (Shingal Resistance Units), which led to the martyrdom of the leaders, Birr Jako and Aker Jafri, and the wounding of the last fighter.
The Turkish occupation planes also bombed the Şengal district, targeting a car belonging to Asayish Izidkhan on the first of March, which led to the martyrdom of an administrator in the Asayish Sherzad Shemo Qassem.
The Autonomous Administration of Şengal stated in a statement yesterday that "the Turkish state and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) seek to destroy Iraq's security through attacks on Şengal."
The administration called on the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, saying: “We hope that the Sudanese government will cancel the October 9 agreement and prevent the attacks of the Turkish state, and that silence in the face of these attacks raises many questions and doubts for us, because when they evade their duty and responsibility towards Şengal, they are partners in the attacks.” This genocide against the Yazidis.”
It is worth mentioning that Iraqi Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi visited Tehran at the end of last month and discussed with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Reza Ashtiani ways to develop bilateral relations.
The occupying Turkish state has launched massive attacks on the areas of Başûr Kurdistan since the 17th of April last year, as the bombing and the attacks of the occupied Turkish state on the region led to the displacement of hundreds of citizens from their villages, and dozens of people from the border areas were killed and injured.
