YBŞ announces martyrdom of two of their leaders - updated

 The announcement came during a statement issued by the leadership of the Şengal Resistance Units (YBŞ), in which it mentioned the martyrdom of the leader, Bir Jakko (Saad Ali Badal) and the leader, Aker Jafri (Khairy Khader Khalaf).

 The text of the statement read:

 On 27.02.2023 at 11.35, the Turkish occupation state launched an attack on a car through an air strike with a drone, and the attack resulted in the death of two of our commanders and the wounding of one of our comrades.

 3 of our comrades went to offer condolences to two young men who lost their lives.  While they were on their way to pay their respects, our comrades came under air attack.

 This attack aimed at exterminating the Yazidi community is not the first of its kind. These attacks launched by the Turkish state are a continuation of the genocide against the Yazidi community.  There is an attack on the legitimate rights of the Yazidi community.  The Turkish occupation state launches attacks on Şengal to strike peace and security in Şengal, and so that our people do not return to their holy land.  Turkish fascism continues its dirty plots against Şengal through agents and traitors.  With these attacks, traitors, collaborators with enemies, and people who think we will take a step back should know;  We are persistent and determined in our resistance and struggle and because we promised our martyr comrades and our people, we will not stop our resistance and struggle until victory, and we will increase our struggle with our resistance.

Our martyr leader Bir Jekko (Saad Ali Badal) joined YBŞ in 2016 in order to answer the call of our Yazidi people during the genocide.

 Commander Bir Jakko fulfilled his promise to liberate Şengal in the footsteps of Mam Zaki, Mam Bashir, Saeed Hassan and all our heroic martyrs. He was always true to his promises and fulfilled his duties.  From the day he joined the Şengal Resistance Units, he has succeeded in performing all the roles and responsibilities that fall upon him.  He was always working to protect our Yazidi people from genocide and attacks.  Therefore, in order to avenge our Yazidi people in 2017, he joined, along with our martyr leader Zardasht, the battle to liberate Raqqa.  After that, our comrade, Bir Jakko, would return to Şengal and become an example among his friends.  He took his place as a commander in the ranks of the Şengal Resistance Units.  Our comrade, Bir Jakko, was famous for his courage and strength, and walked on the path of the martyrs with great dedication and hard work until the last drop of blood.

Comrade Aker witnessed the genocide of 2014. The massacre that took place on our Yazidi people had a great impact on him.  He made a great effort to liberate Şengal to the end with his high will and with great sacrifice. He played an important role in ensuring the liberation of Şengal and establishing the Autonomous Administration of Şengal.  Since witnessing the genocide in 2014, he has never forgotten the pain of his people.  He was highly moral and enthusiastic about work and life.  He was beloved among his friends for his dedication.

 We are deeply saddened by the martyrdom of our comrades.  The martyrdom of our comrades in such an operation is really a great pain for us and our people:

First of all, we would like to express our condolences to the families of our comrades, the people of Izidxan and Kurdistan, and to the family of our wounded comrade.  We promise our heroic martyrs to avenge our martyred comrades by raising the level of struggle.  We repeat the promise we made to our martyr comrades that regardless of the attack on our people, we will resist more than ever and raise the flag of resistance to protect this holy land and our Yazidi people.  We bow our heads before their sacrifices and promise to stand shoulder to shoulder with our people and our martyrs.
