Ahrar al-Iraq Brigade: We will fight until Turkish occupation withdrawal

On Wednesday, the "Islamic Resistance Liwaa Ahrar al-Iraq" claimed responsibility for targeting the Zlikan camp, in the northern Nineveh Governorate, with 20 missiles.

A local source told Roj News agency this morning that the Zlikan base, which the Turkish occupation army uses as its main base in Iraq, was bombed with 20 missiles.

The Islamic Resistance Liwaa Ahrar al-Iraq claimed responsibility for the attack, through an official statement issued by them, stating: “We announce to the sons of our Iraqi people and to the free people of the world that the Missile Unit of the Islamic Resistance Liwaa Ahrar al-Iraq was able to target the military base of the Turkish occupation “Zlikan” in northern Iraq with 20 A Grad missile at exactly 7:36 am today, Wednesday, February 2023.

The statement added, "We declare that our operations are continuing and in continuous development, and will not stop until fulfilling of Turkish withdrawal.

According to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the first mention of the "Liwaa Ahrar al-Iraq" was in a statement issued on June 19, 2022, in which it stated that "the bases and other lands occupied by Erdogan's gangs are legitimate targets until their liberation."
