Over the past week, Arab newspapers have touched upon several issues, including the path of rapprochement between Damascus and the Turkish occupation.

Turkish movements in northern Syria reveal the divergence of normalization with the Syrian regime

Beginning with the Syrian issue, Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper said: "Developments on the ground in northern Syria reflected a divergence in the positions of Turkey and the Syrian regime regarding the path of normalizing relations between Ankara and Damascus, after the statements exchanged in recent days about the regime's conditions for moving forward with the talks, and Ankara's talk about the possibility of holding talks." A new meeting of the defense ministers of Turkey, Syria and Russia before reaching the stage of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries, which was talked about taking place in January, and then it was announced that it would not take place before mid-February.

In this context, "Turkey has returned to sending military reinforcements to the areas of its control and the factions of the Syrian National Army loyal to it in Aleppo, and has also established a helipad near a base for its forces in the town of Balyoun in Jabal Al-Zawiya, within the De-escalation zone in Idlib."

At the same time, "the attacks on the positions of the regime forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continued to escalate in the latter's control areas in north and northeastern Syria."

And it added, "A Turkish military convoy, including personnel carriers, military equipment and ammunition, entered from the Al-Rai crossing north of Aleppo, and from there to the city of Al-Bab in the east of the province, accompanied by military vehicles belonging to the "Sultan Murad" faction, the closest Turkish armed opposition faction to Turkey, according to opposition sources.

These reinforcements are the first since the meeting of the defense ministers and intelligence services of Turkey, Syria and Russia in Moscow on December 28 last.

the latest reinforcements sent by the Turkish army to its points in Idlib, northwestern Syria, coincided with the meeting of the defense ministers.
