​​​​​​​Al-Abd: Convergence between Damascus Government- Turkish occupation will divide Syria

Warnings are repeated in North and East Syria about the repercussions of the rapprochement path that Russia is leading between the Turkish occupation state and the Damascus government.

North and East Syria, with its various political and social segments, rejects this rapprochement and considers it a threat to the Syrian territorial integrity.

The rejection was not limited to North and East Syria. In the occupied Syrian regions, several demonstrations took place rejecting this rapprochement.

At the international level, the United States of America has confirmed on more than one occasion its rejection of this rapprochement, and called on the Turkish occupation state, its ally in NATO, to back down from normalization with the Damascus government.

On the other hand, the Autonomous Administration affirms that a solution to the Syrian crisis is possible through a constructive dialogue with the Damascus government that leads to a transition to a decentralized and democratic Syria.

In this context, the deputy co-chairmanship of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration, Hamdan al-Abd, reaffirmed the need to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis and move away from militarization.

Al-Abd told ANHA’s agency, "Since its establishment in the first phase, the Autonomous Administration has chosen the Syrian-Syrian solution, and that there be a political solution and there will be no military solution."

Al-Abd added, "The Syrian crisis will not end with a military conflict, but with a Syrian dialogue away from tensions."

Al-Abd criticized the negative Russian role in the Syrian crisis, as well as the intransigence of the Damascus government, and said, "The existing national figures are able to find a Syrian solution, but there is intransigence on the part of the Syrian government, interference by regional countries, especially the Russian Federation, and the proxy war that all parties are carrying out on Syrian soil." All these things kept Syria away from a political solution.

He confirmed that the calls for dialogue for the Damascus government do not stem from fear or weakness, but rather out of concern for a solution to the Syrian crisis.

Al-Abd rejected the rapprochement between the Turkish occupation state and the Damascus government, and said that "it will lead to the division of Syria into states, and this does not satisfy the Syrian people and we do not accept it."
