Afrin IDPs: We to continue our resistance until liberating occupied Afrin

The displaced people of Afrin, who live in al-Shahba canton, stressed that they are continuing the resistance and struggle against the Turkish occupation and the international powers that wanted to undermine their will.

5 years have passed since the occupation of Afrin canton, and the crimes of the Turkish occupation continue against the remaining indigenous people in their homes, including killing, kidnapping and demographic change in order to dye the region with the Turkish identity.

In addition, the Turkish occupation's crimes continue against the displaced people of Afrin who live in al-Shahba canton and the villages of Shara and Sherawa districts, south of occupied Afrin, and the targeting of populated villages with heavy and internationally prohibited weapons, in front of the silence and sight of the international powers.

In this regard, ANHA’s agency monitored the views of the displaced from Afrin, who live in al-Shahba canton, on the fifth anniversary of the Turkish occupation's attacks on the canton.

Where the citizen, Hanan Muhammad, denounced the Turkish occupation's attacks on Afrin canton with all kinds of advanced weapons, and its crimes of killing, kidnapping, torture and obliterating the identity of the region after its occupation.

Muhammad pointed out that the Turkish occupation state, through its practice of crimes and demographic change processes for all life facilities; It aims to achieve the Misak-ı Millî and restore the defunct Ottoman Empire.

Muhammad stressed the need to escalate the struggle and resistance and stand up to the plans of the Turkish occupation aimed at annexing vast areas of Syria.

For her part, Hajar Maho, the mother of the two martyrs (Agid and Zilan), who were martyred in the “Resistance of the Age” in its first phase, said that the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation against women in Afrin; It aims to undermine her will and obliterate her identity.

Hajar confirmed, "We are the owners of the land and sacrificed thousands of martyrs for the sake of that, and we also believe that our city will be liberated from the Turkish occupation as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, Sobhi Jawish denounced the silence of international forces and human rights and humanitarian organizations regarding what the Turkish occupation state is practicing against the remaining indigenous people in their homes, in addition to its crimes against humans, changing the demography of the province.

Jawish concluded his speech by saying: "Despite all the difficult conditions we live in in al-Shahba, we protect ourselves and continue our resistance and steadfastness in the face of the Turkish occupation and its advanced weapons."
