​​​​​​​“leader's cause must be transformed into the cause of all peoples”

This came during the closing statement of the conference of the Syrian initiative for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, which was launched, Tuesday, in the Zana hall in the city of Qamishlo, under the slogan "The freedom of the leader APO guarantees a solution and peace."

The final statement, which was read by a member of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Samar Abdullah, began with reference to the participants in the conference. The first is 2022, in which a group of political, cultural, religious, human rights and civil society organizations participated.

The statement added: "The discussions in the conference focused on two axes (the Middle East crisis, resolving peoples' issues, the international conspiracy and the importance of Ocalan's freedom); the discussions were rich and focused on democracy issues and issues related to women, youth, society, its economic structure, the global crisis, the Middle East crisis, its causes, and how to reach a solution to it."

The initiative statement emphasized that "Leader Ocalan considered that the issue is the issue of regimes and the solution of peoples' issues, and thus he was able to open the way for peoples, free people and democrats not only in the region, but in the entire world."

The final statement also included a number of outputs, including:

Transforming the issue of Ocalan's freedom from a people's issue to an issue that concerns all peoples, free people, and democrats, and make them adopt the issue.

- Forming a democratic alliance of free democrats and human rights activists at the regional level in order to defend Ocalan and fight for his freedom.

- Forming a follow-up committee whose mission is to work and coordinate with the Syrian initiative for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, in order to achieve his freedom.

- Work at the regional and global level to convey the cause of free democrats in the Middle East and form a democratic pole that adopts the cause of Ocalan and works for his freedom.
