​​​​​​​Rami Abdel Rahman on Turkish attacks: they are war crimes

 The Turkish occupation army has launched violent attacks on northern and eastern Syria since the night of 19-20 November, the citizens of the region and its vital, educational and service facilities and medical points have not been spared.

 In this context, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman, said: "We condemn the attack that targeted northern and eastern Syria and consider it a flagrant violation of international covenants and conventions for the protection of human rights. Those attacks targeted cities and affected the people, it is absolutely and indisputably rejected."

 He assured our agency that they will continue to monitor human rights violations in that region, and are ready to present them to international bodies, adding, "We will not be silent about these abuses, and this is our humanitarian and human rights role and duty."

 Pointing out that they are crimes that fall within the framework of war crimes and external aggression against the lands of others, which are criminalized by all international covenants.

 Rami Abdel Rahman called on "the international community and international organizations defending human rights to engage with us in filing lawsuits to hold accountable all those who have committed crimes against the Syrians with their various components," stressing: "We will not forget what the Syrian people lived through, and we will not forgive.  Whoever begged himself to destroy his country and kill his people.”
