Dozens in Sulaymaniyah city bid a farewell Nagihan Aksrasl

Academic activist Nagihan Akarsal, a member of the JINOLOJI Research Center, was subjected to an armed attack in front of her home on October 4, which to her martyrdom immediately.

Yesterday, Friday, a mourning tent was set up at the place where activist and academic Nagihan Akarsal was martyred, in Bakhtiari neighborhood in Sulaymaniyah, and it continued until Saturday.

Today, many women's organizations and the people of Sulaymaniyah participated in the farewell ceremony for the body of the martyr Nagihan Akarsal, during which many words were delivered.

Member of the Center for Women's Science (JINOLOJI) in Sulaymaniyah, Najeba Qaradaghi, said, "The bullet that was fired at Nagihan Akarsal today, it can be shot at another person after another period, for a while and freedom is restricted and we have to restore this freedom," quoting Roj agency news.

During the ceremony, the Women's Committee of the Kurdistan National Congress, the Peoples' Democratic Party, the Kurdistan Women's Union, the Kurdistan Free Women's Organization, the governments of Baghdad and Hewler, and the concerned parties called for revealing the truth and bringing the killers to justice.

After the ceremony, the body of the martyr, Nagihan Akarsal, will be transferred to Hewler Airport, and after the completion of legal affairs, it will be transferred to the city of Ankara in Turkey, and then it will be transferred to her hometown in Konya, Bakur (Northern Kurdistan).
