​​​​​​​Al-Abed criticized international powers: Response to Al-Hol camp file is not at required level

 ISIS mercenaries and their families in the al-Hol camp pose a security and social threat to northern and eastern Syria in particular, and the world in general, as a result of the international neglect of these mercenaries and the failure of their countries to receive them, and to reduce the burden on the Autonomous Administration, in light of the Turkish threats that pose a great danger to the region.

 In parallel with the security measures taken by northeast Syria to inflict the final defeat of ISIS mercenaries, the Autonomous Administration is moving at the diplomatic level to push countries to recover its subjects from ISIS mercenaries and their families in northern and eastern Syria.

 In this regard, our agency met with the Vice-President of the Joint Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Hamdan Al-Abed, who, at the beginning of his speech, paid tribute to the people of north and east Syria, the Internal Security Forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Protection Units and Women, which implemented the "Humanity and Security" campaign in  Al-Hol camp, which is the largest gathering of families of ISIS mercenaries in the world.

Hamdan al-Abed said, "Al-Hol camp contains 70,000 ISIS children and women, of different nationalities, regions and from Syria, and this camp is a focus for ISIS's revival, as a result of the dark thought that has been entrenched in the minds of its residents to this day."

 At the same time, Hamdan al-Abed praised the role of the Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces in the "humanitarian and security" campaign, adding, "This humanitarian campaign came as a result of the increase in terrorist acts in the camp, from killing women, children and men in mysterious circumstances, as well as fortifying them inside the camp on the pretext that they are displaced,  And all the crimes that were committed were systematic in the manner of ISIS mercenaries, and this is what forced the security forces to launch this campaign.”

 He stressed, "The Turkish state is the largest supporter of mercenaries, whether before or after the liberation (in reference to the liberation of northern and eastern Syria from ISIS), by planting sleeper cells and supporting them with weapons and explosives."

 The Autonomous Administration and the security forces seek to maintain the security and stability of the camp

 Hamdan al-Abed stressed that "the Autonomous Administration, the Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces are working hard to maintain security and stability in al-Hol camp, until the countries of the world assume their responsibilities, return their nationals, and integrate them with their communities."

"The Autonomous Administration  has worked to take a large number of families, if they are families of the dirt or other, and return to society. The Administration currently working on programs, in coordination with organizations, to integrate them into society."

"We demanded the United Nations by pressing countries to carry out its responsibilities".

 Concerning the actions of the Autonomous Administration regarding the al-Hol camp, Hamdan al-Abed said, "We have repeatedly demanded, since the end of the military campaign in the last stronghold of ISIS in al-Baghuz, that the United Nations carry out its responsibilities, and direct the countries that have nationals in the areas of the Autonomous Administration in the al-Hol camp or in prisons, to establish  a fair international court will try them and return them to their countries."

 Al-Abed pointed out, "There must be an international resolution by the United Nations that puts pressure on the countries that have nationals within the al-Hol camp, and that they be returned to their countries and integrated into societies and each country according to its laws."

 The Autonomous Administration seeks to solve the dilemma of Al-Hol camp

Hamdan al-Abed said, "The Autonomous Administration always calls for an international court in northern and eastern Syria to try the detained ISIS members, according to the applicable laws, and it always demands that countries take their nationals."

 "We seek to completely evacuate this camp, whether Syrians or non-Syrians, and integrate them into society and make this camp a memory," he stressed.

 At the end of his speech, Hamdan al-Abed said, "Several countries have taken some of their nationals, but the rest in the camp are more than those who were recaptured." He added, "There are approximately 30,000 non-Syrian children and women.  France has expressed its willingness to take its nationals, women and children, and we hope that this will be an initiative to empty the camp of all families.”

 It is noteworthy that the General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria announced on Saturday (17 September) the end of the second phase of the "humanity and security" campaign, during a press conference, which was attended by a number of leaders of the forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, the People's Protection Units and Women in a camp.
