​​​​​​​HPG`s balance on 4 months of fighting: 1871 occupiers killed, 6 helicopters downed

The HPG Media Office has revealed the outcome of fighting from April 14 to August 14.

HPG says: “Our struggle for revival and liberation which began on August 15 ,1984, with the bullet of Commander Agid fired at the minds of the occupation, has reached all corners of Kurdistan`s holy land and is moving towards victory with the confident steps of the people. Thousands of heroes from our party, the PKK, rescued the Kurdish people which were on the brink of extinction and re-created them from their ashes, and are carrying out the ideology of Leader Apo, protecting our people and our territory with a self-sacrificing war. The Turkish colonialist state has since April 14 been caryring out all kinds of attacks against our guerillas in Zap, Avashin and metina, which represent the hope of freedom for our people, in an attempt to destroy th reality of the Kurd and the free Kurdistan which emerged together with the PKK. To carry out their occupation, they are conducting comprehensive attacks.”

`THE TURKISH STATE IS COMMITTING WAR CRIMES BY USING CHEMICAL AND TACTICAL NUCLEAR BOMBS`

The Turkish occupation army, which is unable to stand against the guerillas, are not able to reach their goals and are suffering heavy blows. They are attacking the Resistance Areas every day with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons. In addition, they have carried out hundreds of bombardments with warplanes, attack helicopters, heavy weapons, artilly, tanks, rockets, mortars and howtizers. The rascist Turkish state is the enemy of the people, and with their inability to get results from those attacks, they are directly targeting civilians and carried out a massacre. The murderous Turkish state deliberately targeted 9 defenseless civilians, including children, in Perekh, Zakho, attacked and massacred the Kurdish people in many parts of Kurdistan, and thus showed its true face and once again displayed its true intentions.”

The statement continued: “The war criminal Turkish occupation state, used tactical nuclear bombs and chemical eapons 1532 times and committed war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Our forces who are resisting in all corners of Kurdistan`s land, have thwarted thousands of comprehensive attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation state which have deployed thousands of occupation soldiers and contras. Simultanously, they have been carrying out effective actions.

84 Guerillas martyred

In this historical period of resistance, 84 of our comrades have fought with the sacrificing Apoist spirit and were martyred. We promise to take the values of the martyrs`s army and their experience of figting. Without falling out of the line set out by the martyrs, we will succeed in our struggle for existance and freedom.

The outcome of fighting between April 14 and August 14 is as follows:

Actions carried out by our forces;

With the Air Defense Forces, abushes, raids, sabotage, sniper actions, heavy weapons, revolutionary action,  1454 coordinated guerilla actions were carried out.

As a result of actions carried out by our forces;

- A total of 1871 occupiers were killed whereas 11 of them contras, including 9 high-ranking officers.

- 261 occupiers were injured

As far as our forces have been able to document, first of all in the Resistance Areas of the Media Defense Zones;
