Actions in salute of August 15 Campaign: Guerillas kill 10 Turkish occupation soldiers

The Media Office of the People`s Defens Forces (HPG), released a statement which read:

 “The historical August 15 Campaign lead by our immortal commander Agid with his strong will and determination, announced the existance of our people to the world and started the armed struggle. The Kurdish people which after this, in every way defended the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and made many great sacrifices, have always stood the Kurdish Freedom Guerillas. The guerillas who are protecting the gains of the Kurdish people with the spirit of sacrifice have displayed an unparalleled resistance. This holy struggle for freedom and existance continues uninterupted and is on its way towards victory.

OUR RESISTANCE WITH THE SPIRIT OF AUGUST 15`s VICTORY CONTINUES

No matter what they do, the Turkish occupation army is not able to crush our resistance which is being carried out under difficult conditions with a will of steel as well as an incredible courage with the Apoist spirit of sacrifice. Thus, they emphasize their use of forbidden weapons and committ war crimes. Our comrades in the Fortress of Resistance in Werkhele, which has become a pain in the heart of the Turkish state, are thwarting all the enemy`s attacks. Despite using warplanes, helicopters, tactical nuclear bombs, chemical weapons, armored vehicles and tanks to carry out brutal attacks, they have not been able to get any results from it. On August 14 alone, the war tunnels in the Resistance Area of Werkhele was bombarded 43 times with tactical nuclear bombs. Our forces in this area are carrying out their resistance with the spirit of August 15`s victory.

In actions carried out in salute of the August 15 Campaign under the lead of our mobile teams; 10 Occupiers were killed and 3 occupiers were injured. In addition, a vehicle, a drone and 2 mobesse surveillance camera systems were destroyed. The Turkish occupation army bombed the Resistance Areas 61 times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, 3 times with warplanes, 12 times with helicopters and dozens of tomes with mortars and heavy weapons.”

In the stament released by the HPG Media Office, the following information was given regarding the actions carried out and the attacks their forces were subjected to:

“ The Turkish occupation army, with the help and support of contras, is constructing bases for their occupation in the region of Cudi in Botan and opening new coal mines for looting. The traitors, under the controll and protection of the enemy, are on this bases carrying out looting in the Bilourvan area in Cudi.”
