Sheiks of Deir ez-Zor affirmed their readiness to confront any  Turkish attacks

 A number of tribal sheikhs and dignitaries and members of civil institutions in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside participated in the meeting, which was held in the educational complex in the town of Al-Susah.

 The meeting began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the Secretary-General of the Al-Bukamal clan, Hawass Al-Jassem, welcomed the attendees and said, "Recently, the Turkish occupation state's threats against our regions have increased, and it is necessary to unite ranks to stand in the face of these threats."

 Al-Jassem stressed, "We will not give up an inch of our lands and we will be the impenetrable dam against the ambitions of the Turkish occupation state, and it is our duty to defend our land and our honor in case any occupier tries to enter our lands."

 In turn, the co-chair of the People's Assembly in the town of Hajin, Salah al-Salman, said, "At the present time, we are going through difficult circumstances, and we must unite, renounce all sectarian and clan differences, and look to the greatest enemy that awaits us."

 "We the people, we must stand by the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the face of the brutal occupier," he added.

 During interventions by the people of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, they affirmed their readiness to stand up to the Turkish occupation state, and explained, "We will follow the footsteps of our martyrs, and each of us must stand at the head of his work, to preserve the security and stability of the region in general."

 At the conclusion of the meeting, the sheikhs and dignitaries of the clans and the people of the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside affirmed their rejection of the threats of the Turkish occupation state and that they are ready to resist the Turkish occupation.

 It is worth noting that today, in the afternoon, a mass demonstration will start from the town of Gharanij towards the town of Abu Hamam in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, denouncing the Turkish occupation and the international silence regarding the practices and crimes of the occupation in the region.
