​​​​​​​YPJ's Sozdar Derik: Social Contract guarantee for our rights

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is to finish the Social Contract via a committee of experts and politicians representing all areas and region.

The draft of the Social Contract of North and East Syria is made up of four main chapters, the main principles, main rights and freedoms, communal system and the General regulations, all making 99 articles.

Article 76 regarding the protection and self-defense among others ANHA met Member of the General Command of Women Protection Units, the YPJ, Sozdar Derik who said: '' the project on the ground in North and East Syria embodied in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria depends of the ability of community to administer and govern itself via its council and forming its self-defense. For this the Social Contract is so vital''.

''as a military formation in the region, we see ourselves in the contract too. It represents us. Many articles were discussed to which we took part. YPJ units have a big role in protecting the community and the peoples''.

Sozdar added: ''we as a military formation are committed to the Social Contract. YPJ organizes its units as regarding women. We are committed to every point and articles relevant to community protection. We respect that as we are the force that protects Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

Based on this the Social Contract is a step in the right direction. All components of the North and East Syria should join the Social Contract and preserve it and to take part in the coming elections in the future''.

Sozdar said ''all articles in the Social Contract give guarantee to preserve our rights as the they have special system and a rules of procedure abides by. We are all confidence that the articles in the contract is a sufficient guarantee to all of us''.  

Worth to note 98 article of the Social Contract stipulates the contract is open to amendment in case a democratic constitution  in Syria reached.
