Afrin-based Yazidi Union denounces Khanasour plot on its anniversary

The Union of Yazidis in Afrin recalled the martyrs of Khansour's resistance, and denounced the plot that targeted the Yazidis and the people of Şengal by the Kurdistan Democratic Party and regional parties.

On the anniversary of the attacks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) militants on the Khansour district in Şengal on March 3rd, the Yezidis Union in Afrin region issued a statement to the public opinion saying:

"We also know that the Yazidi community has been subjected to conspiracies and firmans for centuries, and in the light of the ongoing war in the Middle East in the twenty-first century, a conspiracy was hatched once again in the hands of the Turkish state, the colonial states of Kurdistan and some regional states, and behind them the dominant countries in the world concerned with the affairs of the region, and among those conspiracies targeting Shingal It was exposed to the most heinous types of attacks by the terrorist organization, which claimed the lives of thousands of martyrs and kidnapped people, and through that fierce attack, far from humanitarian and legal standards, they tried to eliminate the Yazidis and displace the rest of them outside their homes, uprooting their roots and ending their existence, fully aware that the elimination of any society is through targeting their history and culture, so they targeted Şengal because for the Yezidis it is a source of Yezidi civilization and culture.

The conspiracy took place with an agreement between the government of Iraq and the Kurdistan regional government under the noses of the global and regional countries, which remained silent about what the Yezidis were subjected to in Shingal, and the attack of the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces on Khansur is only one of those conspiracies against the Yezidis.

We in the Union of Yazidis in Afrin remember the martyrs who were betrayed by the aforementioned party forces, and we denounce any attack on Şengal from any party. The Şengalis who stand as an impenetrable dam to protect Şengal.

Glory to the martyrs of Khansour and the martyrs of freedom, shame and disgrace to all who cooperate with the enemies of his people.
