HAT carry out sweeps operations inside Al-Zhour neighborhood

Anti-Terror Forces (HAT) carried out sweeps operations in Al-Zhour neighborhood, next to Al-Sina'a prison, south of Hasaka city.

The sweeps operations continue in the neighborhoods next to Al-Sina'a prison in Hasaka city. In this context, Anti-Terror Forces carried out sweeps operations this morning in Al-Zhour neighborhood, next to Al-Sina'a prison in Ghweran neighborhood, south of Hasaka city.

Last Thursday, ISIS mercenary cells attacked Al-Sina'a prison with booby-traps in an attempt to release ISIS prisoners, that are 5,000 mercenaries of different nationalities.

A number of mercenaries are hiding in Al-Zhour neighborhood, next to Al-Sina'a prison.

Immediately, the Internal Security Forces of north and east Syria and Syria Democratic Forces began operations against the mercenaries. After 3 days, the forces were able to confine the mercenaries inside the prison walls, amid continuous sweeps operations in the vicinity of Al-Sina'a prison.

Yesterday, SDF regained control of several buildings inside the prison and liberated 23 hostages from the hands of ISIS mercenaries.
