Why does Turkey paint pictures of Mustafa Ataturk on the walls of Gire Spi?

ANHA’s agency obtains footage and pictures from from occupied Girê Spi/ Tal Abyed, showed that the Turkish state is promoting the Turkish and Ottoman nationalists by drawing pictures of them on the walls of schools and service facilities.

Since the occupation of the Girê Spi/ Tal Abyed Canton, after launching cowardly attack on 9^th October, 2019, Turkey sought to impose Turkification policy in a bid to annexe it to Turkish territories, where imposed dealing with Turkish lira instead of the Syrian pound, as well as forced on the teachers in undergoing to courses to learn Turkish language as a condition for appointment in schools.

ANHA’s agency also documented, the Turkish state has opened two schools in each of the district center and the town of Hammam al-Turkman to teach the Turkish language there.

Recently, images obtained by ANHA’s agency from the occupied canton of Girê Spi/ Tal Abyed showed the Turkish state promoting Turkish and Ottoman nationalists by painting pictures of them on the walls of schools and service facilities in the occupied canton.

Among the pictures is a portrait of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the modern Turkish Republic, which was founded on the ruins of the defunct Ottoman Empire in 1923.
