NORTH and EAST SYRIA: Expanded Committee for drafting new Social Contract holds its sessions

The Expanded Committee for the drafting of the new Social Contract for the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria started its 3-day consultation meeting on Monday, After finished discussing 30% of the draft contract, in the middle of last month of 2021.

Meanwhile, the expanded committee is holding its meeting in the city of al-Hasakah, to complete work of the committee’s meeting in presence of 158 members, representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, political parties, youth movements, jurists, and civil society organizations.

On the 15th of July of the last year, the Autonomous Administration formed a mini-committee of 30 members, to prepare a draft of the contract, and discussing it within the expanded committee that includes various strata of society in NE Syria.

The expanded committee' works are holding in Sardam Cultural Hall in the city.

Member of the mini-committee Sihanouk Dibo, confirmed that the resumption of the committee's work, today, came after the completion of the section related to the societal system.

Dibo noted that a mechanism will be developed to share what has been reached with all community activities in all areas of the Autonomous Administration, starting from Manbij, passing through the Euphrates region, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa, to Al-Jazirah region, after completing its formulation.
