PYD General Member: States’ interests with Turkey prevent it to assume its responsibility towards NE Syria

Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Amin Aliko, explained that the Turkish occupation state aims primarily behind its attacks on the region to exterminate the peoples yearning for freedom, stressing that the interests of the countries with Turkey prevent it from fulfilling its duty towards the people of north and east Syria.

Turkish occupation state continues its attacks on NE Syria, as it recently targeted the city of Kobani and its villages with missiles, resulting in the loss of a citizen's life and the injury of twelve women and children.

A member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Amin Aliko, denounced the repeated attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state on the region and said: "We decry the fascist attacks on the city of Kobani, the city of resistance."

Turkey's endeavors

Aliko pointed out that "the Turkish fascist state seeks, behind its attacks on the region, to increase the occupied areas and to export its internal crises and problems abroad," stressing that NE Syria are subjected to war crimes and genocide in every sense of the word at the hands of the Turkish fascist state.

Aliko noted that what makes the matter worse is the silence of countries in the face of Turkish state terrorism. He said, "The region is being subjected to a war of extermination amid a shameful international silence," stressing "the international community and concerned parties must intervene and put an end to the violations of the Turkish state."

The silence of countries is a stain on the forehead of humanity

Aliko pointed out that the reason for the countries' silence in the face of the Turkish state's violations indicates the existence of common interests linking it to the Justice and Development Party, and said: "The presence of the countries' interests with Turkey prevents it from fulfilling its duty towards what is going on in the region."

Regarding the child Abdo Mustafa Hanifi, whose leg was amputated as a result of the Turkish bombing, Amin Aliko asked, "Is the world not ashamed of its silence, why are there no decisions to stop Turkey's aggression and terrorism against the region?"

At the conclusion of his speech, Amin Aliko stressed the need to take the path of resistance against what the Turkish occupation state is practicing, and said: "No matter what the Turkish state does, it will not be able to break the will of the peoples yearning for freedom, so we must resist the Turkish occupation and not surrender to protect the gains of our revolution."
