​​​​​​​Syriacs, Arabs and Kurds demand removal of PKK from"terror list"

 With the continuation of its struggle for about 5 continuous decades of time, the popularity of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) is rising among different social strata and from various components in  Kurdistan and abroad.

 The party, which began to be included in the "terror list" of the European Union, the United States of America and Turkey in the nineties of the last century, is enjoying a large-scale local and global campaign to remove its name from the "terror list".

 In this context, the components of Qamishlo canton that believe in the ideology of the PKK demanded its removal from the "terror list", calling on the international community to view the party as a movement for freedom for all peoples.

 Ibrahim Muhammed al-Hussein, a kurd from the district of Tirbespiye, pointed out that the establishment of the PKK is to support the oppressed peoples.  by the Kurdistan Workers' Party.

 He added that the PKK, from the beginning of founding, has been targeted by the dominant powers, and said: "The ruling forces saw the democratic nation's approach as a threat to them and capitalist modernity and began attacking it from the beginning; for this reason, they seek to keep them on the "terror list."

 'The international community should support this party'

  Abd al-Ahad Shamoun, a syriac  from Jal Agha district, stated that the inclusion of the PKK in the “terror list” came to please Turkey, and added, “Today, after the great sacrifices made by the party for the freedom of the region’s components, the international community must support this party and put an end to the Turkish policy that is practiced against the peoples.

 While Suad Sabri, a kurd  Tirbespiye district, confirmed that the party's struggle for human rights is not a matter of "terrorism" as the leader of the Justice and Development Party Recep Tayyip Erdogan claims, and added, "The PKK is fighting terrorism in the Middle East, led by the Turkish state that  they are trying to obliterate the identity of the peoples and their culture, but European countries seek to show the opposite."

 She added, "We will not accept keeping the name of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) on the list of terrorism."

 Among the Arab component, Ahmed Hassan, from the Jal Agha district, notes that the international community is well aware that Turkey is a fascist state, and in order to stop its arbitrary policies against the peoples of the region, the PKK must be supported.

 Basil Youssef from Tirbespiye, appealed to human rights and humanitarian organizations to play their role in removing the name of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) from the "terror list".
