The Turkish Women's Platform issued its report for 2021, in which it revealed that 280 women were killed by men, while 217 were killed in mysterious circumstances in the same year

The report stated that, despite women’s complaints, the authorities did not protect them and abide by Article (6284), pointing to a clear contradiction in allegations of the Turkish Minister of Interior, Suleiman Soylu, that “the rate of women's killing has decreased,” while dozens of women who exercises their legal rights have been arrested and prosecuted.

The platform indicated that "criminals get the power and support from the Turkish authorities, so there is no deterrent to their crimes, which are clearly increasing."

In a month... 30 women were killed in Turkey

The platform's report documented that 30 women were killed, and 21 lost their lives in mysterious circumstances, during December of last year.

The platform’s annual report stated that: 280 women were killed during 2021

-125 murdered by their husbands.

- 37 by their male friends.

- 24 by their acquaintances.

- 21 by the ex-husband.

- 16 by their relatives.

-13 by their ex-boyfriends.

-11 by their children,

- 6 by their brothers,

- 3 by acquaintances,

-a woman by people they did not know, while still place of killing 11 of them is unknown.

The platform listed places of crimes:

where 178 women were murdered at home,

33 were in the street,

12 were in the field,

10 were at work,

9 were in the car,

8 were in lonely places,

6 were in hotels, two women inside a building,

2 women were in a park,

A woman wsa In a room,

A woman was in her law office,

A woman was in a factory,

A woman was in a parking lot,

A woman was in front of her house,

and a woman in garden of a health center, whereas place of 10 women has not been determined.
