Hani Sulaiman: by chemicals Turkey is intent on Kurds eradication

Hani Sulaiman, Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies, the repeated usages by Turkey of chemical weapons against Kurdistan Workers' Party, the PKK, is considered a breach of the human norms and international laws.

In a statement made to ANHA Sulaiman said the ''use of chemical weapons is blatant defiance and immoral act from the part of the Turkish state as that runs contradictory to all human norms and international laws regarding conflicts for the international law regulate such issues''.

Hani Sulaiman said by these actions Turkey corroborates there has been contradiction between what it adopts as a state advocates ethics and between what is being really applied on the ground. ''using chemical weapons 323 times in the course of six months is tremendously appalling. This is a grave defiance by Turkey to the international system and insistence as well on breaches and intent on the ethnic eradication and immoral acts'', that poses unanswered question from the part of the international community regarding Turkish breaches''.    

Sulaiman said the international silence preserved made Turkey proceed with its breaches. Turkey deals with great powers according to narrow interests and conflicts and certain polarizations regarding Libya, Syria or refugees, noting all these Turkish practises necessitate accountability that should not lapse by time.

Director of the Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies said all Turkey's acts and breaches necessitates an urgent call to exit the Kurdistan Workers' Party from the Terrorism List on the bases what the party does runs in line with the right to aspire to Kurdish nationalist rights and freedoms''.

''Irrespective of all difference or disputes between countries and groups within, all this do not justify Turkish breaches and necessitates removal of these movements from terror list to create a space for resisting repeated Turkish breaches'', concluded Sulaiman.
