Turkish state prisons turned into morgues

 The judicial system of the Turkish state collapsed some time ago, and we are now facing a Turkey that does not believe in justice.  Undoubtedly, prisons are among the most unjust places.  There is no longer any difference between the prison conditions now and the conditions and provisions of the fascist September 12 coup.  There is now more brutal and systematic harassment in the prison corridors.

 Prisons have been transformed into a place for all moods and practices, and prisoners who have completed their sentences under various pretexts.

 In prisons where sick prisoners are deprived of their health rights.  Medicines are not provided.  The detainees are subject to special procedures with the aim of exposing them to death.  It is not enough to describe such actions as “violations of rights” and this brutality and injustice cannot be explained.

 Punishment is not according to the crime, but rather a crime is fabricated

 Erdogan's dictatorial regime is taking revenge on thousands of Kurdish prisoners in prisons.  It did not succeed in the extermination throughout Kurdistan.  Deaths in prison should not be considered a regular occurrence.

 It is well known that the arrests are arbitrary and illegal, and it is also well established that people arrested during political genocides do not enjoy a fair trial, as the right to defense is restricted or denied.  Some people's files were obstructed, and some evidence was withheld.

 Judgments handed down in court based on the testimony of hidden witnesses and false evidence are a form of unfair legal decision, and cause conscience pain.  Judges and prosecutors have become servants of the authority, excluding political cases from the legal sphere.  Punishment is not imposed according to the crime, but rather a crime that fits the punishment is fabricated.

 They have moved from the crimes of the "unknown doer" to the stage of crimes committed by guardians.  It is not just about killing people, but every decision made in the name of the law is itself a legal crime.  The penal institutions have turned into a mortuary for the Kurds.

 Unparalleled injustice

 Solitary confinement in Imrali is one of the places where national and international law is lacking.  The conditions of extreme isolation become more severe with each passing year;  Because he speaks in the resting place, and is punished with solitary confinement, it is unparalleled injustice.  The commander's detention conditions are the conditions of the torture regime.

 Mood and qualitative practices began in Imrali and with the passage of time spread to other fields.  Prisoners and convicts are subjected to procedures and penalties unprecedented in any laws.  When degrading practices such as strip searches were imposed, state officials denied this, but today they are common practice.

 Putting these measures aside, the people who are supposed to be under their protection, those who are held within four walls, are being killed and executed unlawfully.

 The strange butcher incident is a prime example of this.  They killed that detainee by imposing brutal and humiliating practices, including harassment and rape, and they did not stop at that, but rather insulted her body.  If detainees and the condemned are left at their mercy, their lives are in danger at every moment.  The private policies of the fascist regime are prevalent in prisons.

 Prisons are the mirror of Turkey

 The measures imposed on those who have been held in prisons for years without trial, those political hostages and the thousands of detainees whose lives were taken from them, are reprisals.

 Dictator Erdogan takes revenge on everyone who opposes him and imprisons him in the name of the rule of law.  Women and children, the elderly, people with physical problems who need care, people who can no longer stay in prison due to their health conditions, all face the wrath of this dictator.

 Prisons are the mirror of Turkey. The things that happen there are crimes against humanity.  Their crimes have become part of the legal system, and based on the crimes that have been exposed, the fascist dictator should not remain in power.  Whatever this government does, whether in the name of politics, religion, or any other name, its practices are unjust and immoral.

 The Alevi Kurds are being persecuted again, and another Karbala is being perpetrated against them.  We have not yet forgotten the insult to the corpse of Mother Aysel Tulgek.  Although her health condition is getting worse day by day, keeping her in prison exacerbates her pain.  Syed Rida said 83 years ago: "We are the sons of Karbala, we are innocent, it is a disgrace, it is a crime, it is an injustice."

 What has changed since then until now?  Injustice is still the Kurds' share, as is genocide.  The authorities are becoming more unfair and unscrupulous, more lying and hypocritical and seeking to shed more blood.

 To those who remain silent in the face of this injustice and succumb to it, we appeal to them to quote one of the sayings of Albert Camus;  “There is nothing more despicable than respect based on fear.”
