The international conspiracy against Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the biggest and most prominent event in the last century. The international conspiracy that the global capitalist system agreed upon and allied on has passed, and they made it the first stage of military, political and economic intervention in the future of the Middle East. However, this process has not ended yet. After the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan and the intervention in the Middle East with the Arab Spring, nothing has changed. Rather, the situation has worsened, and the region has been stuck in a state of chaos, as the state of the unknown and instability deepens day after day.
The international conspiracy is considered the beginning of the Greater Middle East Project. It began with the kidnapping of Leader Abdullah Ocalan from Kenya, and then his subsequent handover to the Turkish state. The leader revealed the conspiracy from many aspects, so in order to get him out of the Middle East, they planned to arrest him or physically neutralize him. They started their operation against him by threatening Syria. At that time, the Turkish military official, Atilla Ates, threatened Syria, vowing to “pray in the Umayyad Mosque,” referring to military intervention in Syria.
It seems that Leader Abdullah Ocalan had realized this process from the beginning, and the bipolarity was approaching its end in the world, while Syria was relying on a policy of balance in its relations, and Syria remained alone and helpless in the face of the threats directed at it, and it was not possible to avoid the threats and risks because of the leader. It was necessary to leave Syria, and it was also necessary not to harm friendly relations, and regardless of the option of heading to the mountains, the option of heading to Europe was the most logical and also the only compulsory option, after which he reached the field of influence of the capitalist system and global hegemony, and after months of surveillance and oppression, Leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested and handed over to Turkey.
Thus, it became clear that the Kurdish issue is a global issue in the first place. First, the global capitalist system obstructs the solution of the Kurdish issue through political or military means. NATO is the biggest obstacle to the PKK’s struggle, as they consider it a low-intensity war. After that, special war plans such as “Gladio wars” appeared against the PKK and its leader, until he was arrested. Similar hostile interventions continued after his arrest.
There is no doubt that the goals of the conspiracy were very different. Resolving the Kurdish issue means changing the political balances in the Middle East based on colonialism. They never supported resolving the Kurdish issue, because colonialism is a problem that hinders the balance of interests at the global and regional levels. They hated Kurdistan Workers' Party by accusing it of "terrorism" and declaring it a "terrorist organization." They insisted on denying the Kurdish existence and clung to attempts to eliminate them. The extradition of Leader Abdullah Ocalan must be viewed from this angle. They wanted to use the Kurdish card in a different way. They set a trap for the Kurds and tried to eliminate the Kurdish liberation movement to implement the Greater Middle East project. The PKK included initiatives for change and transformation on its agenda, especially changing the model and eliminating the hopes of the capitalist system. Despite the great internal cleansing, the collapse was prevented and the conspiracy failed. Despite the arrest of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Kurdish people and the Kurdish liberation movement sought to overcome the difficulties and triumph at this stage and win this battle in their favor.
If the conspiracy to eliminate the PKK had succeeded, each party would have had its own Kurdish card, and powers like the United States, the European Union and NATO would have had Kurdish cards to use as they wished. Each party would have had a Kurdish group loyal to it, and just as the Turkish state today uses ISIS and its remnants according to its policies and uses the Kurdistan Democratic Party as one of its protectors, they would have reshaped the PKK as they wanted and used it according to their interests. This was their plan when they welcomed the Kurdish representatives of Rojava in Ankara at the beginning of the Syrian crisis, and when they failed to do so, they declared Rojava a hostile front.
The Kurdistan Liberation Movement's change of paradigm has created a new perspective on the fundamental, systemic and profound intellectual issues and problems in the Middle East, whether the problems stem from the traditional social structure or from external interventions. It offers new methodological proposals for a solution. It goes beyond the problems stemming from the method itself and offers solutions through alternatives and options such as "democratic society", "confederal system" and the choice of "third line". The struggle against the international conspiracy continued, and if the approach expected by the leader had not been implemented and different methods had not been tried, the result would have been very different now. Through the trap they set for the Kurds, the conspiracy would have succeeded and the endless hostilities would have increased even more and the ethnic conflict would have become more bloody as is the case in the sectarian conflicts between Sunnis and Shiites. This would have constituted a catastrophic scenario for the Middle East, and just as they paved the way for endless hostility between the peoples of the region with the emergence of ISIS, they would have done the same then.
The trap they set for the Kurds was foiled thanks to the deep political vision or insight of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, but the conspiracy continues today in different versions and forms.
