Kurds are the guarantee of Syria - Rauf KARAKOÇAN

Syria, which is currently under the rule of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, is heading towards the unknown and its fate is the Islamic version of the Baath regime, and sectarianism will replace the fanaticism of the nation-state, and the international powers are aware of the new reality in Syria, but they still consider it a legitimate government and build their relations with it on this basis, and this is because they choose the interests of the state at the expense of the interests of the Syrian people, and the concerned powers are trying to keep Syria in the situation that suits them.

The interim government in Syria, as the only power in power, is trying to improve its image in front of external powers and is thinking about how to "permanently maintain power" and get rid of its bad jihadist legacy, and it seems that the basic problems related to the future of Syria have been postponed, and they have left the issues of political stability, economic development, security, education, health, the democratic administrative structure, ensuring religious and ethnic differences, equality between men and women, the new comprehensive constitution and many other basic issues until the end, and at the present time, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham does not have such an agenda.

Turkey is trying to establish a subordinate regime in Syria, as it is responsible for consulting in building the state and organizing the bureaucracy and in almost all matters, and the fact that people who studied in Turkey are at the administrative level in Syria, and millions of Syrian refugees have learned the Turkish language, and the organized cultural exchange has given Turkey great advantages, Syria has become a suitable geography to be transformed into a garden belonging to the Turkish home.

As for Israel, it wants a Syria that is suitable for its security policies and everything necessary for its security, and it is implementing everything necessary, including the occupation, although the European and Arab countries have different ambitions in Syria, there are many reasons to be concerned about Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Syria under the umbrella of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.

The current practices of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, and the killings similar to ISIS, pose a danger to the Syrian people and to the entire international community, as killing Alawites, depriving women of their freedom, imposing a centralized administration system that does not include minorities, and involving foreign jihadists in the administration, all constitute a suitable ground for creating problems, the Syrian people are facing a table full of threats and risks.

Because Kurds are the only guarantee in Syria, the Kurdish people are going to be a guarantee of a future for Syria and the whole world through its secular democratic prospect, and they understand women's freedom embracing all differences, its years of joint presidency experience are a refuge of all components in it, their autonomus administration represents the best model for the future of many years in Syria.

 the Kurd is the minority guarantor within Syria, represented by Alawites, Secularists, Druzes, Assyrians, Syriacs, Chechens among other religious minorities, especially the Yazidis. They have an experience that has witnessed and represents a democratic model of administration, and regarding integration with the outside world, the Kurds in combat against ISIS proved themselves and made great sacrifices; they are the only ones able to provide security in the future of Syria.

As important as the Kurds are in protecting the different social spectrums in Syria through the model of autonomous administration, they also have a major role in the future of the Middle East. They are the main axis of regional politics, and beyond the future of Syria, they are important for the Middle East as well, because they left behind their bad situation during the last century, and have now entered a very useful position in terms of redesigning the region. Since they have become the most unified, cohesive and stable force in the region in terms of politics, administration and security, the Kurds have a strategic role.

The fate of Turkey is also linked to the Kurds. The instability in the region, the increase in risk factors and the intensity of wars and conflicts, forced Turkey to find a solution to the Kurdish issue, which made the peace process mandatory. The situation is similar in Syria, Iraq and Iran. The model of democratic society represented by the Kurds, their worldview and the formula for a solution according to the interests of the peoples, made the Kurds useful partners for both international actors and regional powers.

The hostile policies of the Turkish state, its ambitions to occupy Rojava in its entirety, and its anti-Kurdish attempts pose a threat to the stability of the region. Peace processes will fail as long as the mentality of the one-state nation state is not overcome. Despite the bad practices of the Turkish state, everyone is now waiting for Imrali's response regarding the peace process.

The statements that Leader Abdullah Ocalan is expected to make in the future for the Kurds to play their role are everyone's condition. The political and theoretical forces that will determine the next century of the region will affect Rojava and Syria as well. The Kurds have become the axis of the Middle East. We must know that there is a historical stage and that a peaceful solution to the Kurdish issue will benefit everyone and all peoples.
