ISIS attacked Peshmerga Forces in Garmian again

A special source told Roj news that element of the Peshmerga forces was missing and wounded yesterday evening, in a new attack launched by ISIS mercenaries on the Peshmerga in the Garmian administration in Southern Kurdistan.

The source said, "A group of ISIS mercenaries attacked the Peshmerga forces within the second regiment, the ninth brigade, in the village of "Kuban" near the "Bawah Shaswar" dam, north of the Kifri district of the Garmian administration," adding that "one of the Peshmerga forces was killed, in addition to wounding 4 others.”

And he added, "The victim is called Mohammad Mansour, and the wounded are Bakr Qadir Saeed, Yahya Adel Faraj, Shakhwan Qader Saeed, and Arif Mohammad."

For its part, the Ministry of Peshmerga said in a statement that its forces thwarted the attack and began chasing the attackers, noting that the attack left a victim and 3 wounded among the Peshmerga.

This is the third attack of its kind on the Peshmerga in the Garmian administration since the beginning of this week.
