Sheikh Hamo : Who prevailed in Kobani will not be defeated on the Kurdistan mountains

Sheikh Ahmed Hamo, who is father of one of the martyrs of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, spoke to our agency about withdrawal of the Turkish occupation from regions in southern Kurdistan in face of the steadfastness of guerrilla fighters.

"Our forces showed historical resistance against Turkish operation in Werxel and Tabora Araban in the Avashin area. The occupiers realized that they would receive severe blows and unstoppable resistance they withdrew from Werxele and Tabora Araban", The Popular Defense Forces HPG in a statement.

Hamo also spoke about the role of guerrilla in thwarting Turkey and its allies to subvert the Autonomous administration project in Rojava, through extermination of Kurds on hand who claim Islam “ISIS,” saying, “PKK played a major role in protecting thousands from Şengal's genocide, as well as Kobani liberation the symbol of global resistance, PKK removed the artificial borders between parts of Kurdistan, and fought and fight in every spot where the Kurds were under attack; it is the strength of the Kurdish people.

On April 23 Turkish occupation forces launched a ground and air aggression targeting the legitimate defense areas in southern Kurdistan after failure of occupation of Gara, which has not stopped until today , and killing of 12 Turkish soldiers who were detained in caves; to pin the accusation against PKK in front of public opinion, while Turkish parties and departments in the army and government exchanged accusations of poor planning and implementation which led to historic loss in southern Kurdistan

About of the Turkish attacks Hamo indicated that the Turkish occupation, with all malice and brutality, wanted to attack the stronghold and source of the Kurdish will in the holy mountains of Kurdistan, using all its technical and military capabilities, but it was defeated as a result of the historical resistance of the Guerilla fighters. He added, "They do not understand that PKK cannot be eliminated militarily or in any other way. It is people' will. Did the Turkish state forget the resistance of prisons in 1982? How can such a will be fought? Who won in Şengal and Kobani cannot be defeated in Kurdistan's mountains.

Worth mentioning that Turkey has been using chemical weapons in Southern Kurdistan for months, despite momentum of military forces, however it failed to achieve any progress on the ground.  Hamo pointed out that the large scale of the aggression led to the collapse of the Turkish economy, and the refusal reactions to the policy of Justice and Development and the ruling Nationalist Movement Party in Turkey increased.

Hamo concluded, "We appeal all politicians and administrators in Southern Kurdistan, not be their plans at the expense of the Kurdish people, and stress that southern Kurdistan must be a free Kurdish area away from foreign agendas."
