 The Armenian writer Makda Tagashian believes that the Kurdish and Armenian peoples should unite their forces and fight together against the neo-Ottoman political project that is trying to destroy and eliminate them.  Al-Jazera lawyers considered the ambush of Khalifan and the insistence of the Kurdistan Democratic Party not to hand over the martyrs to their families as an act contrary to Kurdish and societal morals, and a clear and explicit violation of international and humanitarian law.
