KJK expresses its solidarity with Afghan women

Kurdistan Women's Union (KJK) issued a written statement to public opinion, in which it declared its solidarity and support for women in Afghanistan, expressing its full confidence that they will weave the valiant resistance against every anti-women mentality.

They emphasized that a free life and a democratic system would be established by the leadership of conscious, organized women, starting from Kurdistan to Afghanistan. Appealing to women in the Middle East and North Africa in particular, and all women of the world in general, "to stand in solidarity with our Afghan sisters, to join their voices with them, and to defend their lives, gains, hopes and aspirations."

"Power has been handed over to the anti-feminist Taliban, the result of the heinous policies of the world's dominant forces in Afghanistan, a country that has experienced proxy wars for decades. This situation, which has generated great anger among women and peoples, not only in Afghanistan, but throughout the world, has once again brought to light the following reality: There's no power we can count on, except self - force, self-organization, self - defense. What happened yesterday in Afghanistan clearly demonstrated the extent of the duality of Western States, and that the noble values and concepts of NATO forces, such as democracy, freedom and women's rights, are for them only tools to legitimize their dirty policies. Those who fortified the slogans "women's rights" 20 years ago, seeking to legitimize their occupation, are today leaving the fate of millions of women to redress the Taliban.
