Jurist lashes out at international inaction to Post-ISIS NE Syria

Calls in North Eastern Syria proceed to put an end to ISIS mercenaries issue and their families present in the al-Hol Camp and in jails run by the Syrian Democratic Forces. 

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria presents the international community with two options: first, repatriation of their subjects to be prosecuted in their countries of origin,  or secondly to contribute in setting up an international court in north and East Syria to prosecute these mercenaries in north eastern Syria but the two options are rejected.

Currently, tens of thousands of foreign ISIS mercenaries as well as Iraqi and Syrian ones are held in SDF run jails descending from more than 50 European and African countries.  

Jurist Khaled Cebir says '' there is an international evasion of the post ISIS liberation era as all calls made by the ANES are being ignored calling for necessity of prosecuting ISIS mercenaries ''.

Cebir noted that '' all UN member states as well the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS contributed to negligence by other countries to disregard ISIS repatriation file and prosecuting them or even giving assistance in setting up courts in the region''.

Cebir called on the international community to set up international courts in north and east Syria '' for they committed their crimes in the region'', ruling out '' the intention to create such courts though in many countries they were set up and officials and crimes perpetrators were prosecuted''.

The al-Hol Camp is the largest of its kind in North eastern Syria and one of the most dangerous world wide for homing tens of thousands of ISIS families embracing radical ideology.

Cebir warned of the hotbed the al-Hol Camp creates for ISIS children '' ISIS makes use of the extremist ideology for building up its alleged state'' calling for immediate evicting the camp of these families and sending them to their countries of origin''.

Cebir called on these countries to bear their responsibilities and '' human rights and international associations ought to take the side of the AANES regarding the ISIS mercenaries for the issue has become a burden on the AANES on security and economic terms''.
