HPG: 9 Turkish occupation’s soldiers killed in Avashin

The Media Center of the People’s Defense Forces issued a statement regarding the results of the operations carried out by their forces against the Turkish occupation army in Avashin area.

The statement stated: "On July 16, our forces monitored 3 units of the Turkish occupation army while they were trying to ambush our forces in the vicinity of Martyr Kajanshir valley at 07:50, the Guerilla fighters carried out a simultaneous military operation from 4 axes."

The first axis targeted one of the fortifications where 6 soldiers of the occupation hid, and resulted in the killing of 6 members of the occupation army and the destruction of the site. In the second axis, one of the fortifications in which 4 soldiers were holed up was targeted, killing 3 soldiers and destroying the site. The occupation army tried to support its forces in the area, but they were confronted from the third and fourth axes, forcing the occupation army to leave its positions and transport the dead and injured by helicopter.

The operation, in which the fighters used modern combat tactics, resulted in the killing of at least 9 occupation soldiers, the injury of another, and the destruction of two sites.
