Tal Kocher people commemorate martyrs of July 14th resistance

On the occasion of the 39^th anniversary of the hunger strike in Amed prison, which falls on July 14^th, and in commemoration of the martyrs of that resistance, this morning a march was organized in which hundreds of people from Tal Kocher district of Qamishlo canton participated.

The march started in front of Leader Abdullah Ocalan Garden and went through the main street of the district, amid chants saluting the resistance of prisons and martyrs, and the people held a banner with "In the spirit of the July 14^th resistance, we will defeat the occupation" written on.

The participants in the march stopped in the district center, and then member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Tal Kocher district, Abdel Ilah Al-Kurdi, gave a speech in which he said, "In the beginning, we condemn the Turkish attacks on the areas of north and east Syria, and we say that we are a united people with all its segments."

He added, "The strike, which falls on the 14^th of July, was a victory for the Kurdish people, as the sit-in expressed the will of the Kurdish people and their resistance against the Turkish state's brutal practices against the Kurdish people."

The march ended with slogans saluting the July 14^th resistance.
