Report: Turkey is at forefront of violating women journalists' rights

According to a report by the Women's Press Committee, Turkey is committing the highest level of violations of the rights of women journalists.

 The Coalition for Women in Journalism (CFWIJ) released its June report, revealing that 77 women journalists have been subjected to human rights violations in different parts of the world, including murder, kidnapping, arrest, physical assault, violence and harassment.

According to the report, Turkey recorded the highest rate of violations of women journalists' rights, with 25 women journalists being tried.

Police violence against journalists working in the field increased by 83.3%, while the number of cases of harassment of women journalists increased by 471.4% compared to the previous month.

 In Turkey, at least 10 women journalists were physically assaulted by the police in June.
