Amin 'Eliko: Turkey's threats to Manbij aim reviving ISIS

Turkish State continues to pose threats to occupy Manbij City, which has enjoyed security and co-existence among its components since its liberation from ISIS. In this regard, member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo city, was interviewed  by ANHA.

Manbij City is known with the peoples' fraternity of Kurds, Arab, Turkmen and Circassian peoples. The Turkish State is trying by all means to create discord between these peoples and between them and Democratic Autonomous Administration and also to exploit them for their own agendas, as it has done with mercenary groups.

"Life came back to Manbij after liberation"

'Eliko touched on the conditions of Manbij during the control of ISIS mercenaries on the city, he stressed that the people of the city were in a state of terror and instability, and after the liberation of the city by Syrian Democratic Forces the people of the region expressed their happiness, saying, "No one must forget this fact that it has been liberated by SDF and the people of Manbij city who will continue to protect and defend it."

"Turkey's goal is to revive ISIS mercenaries"

Amin called on the people of all its components to stand up to Turkish designs and counter any attempt to occupy their city: "The people of Manbij must organize and join hands in confronting any threats and attacks on the city. Turkey wants to strike security and stability in the region and return them to the era of darkness."

"International silence encourages Turkey to continue"

'Eliko stated that "the Turkish project is an occupying expansion project that extends from Kirkuk to the city of Aleppo. The occupation threatens Manbij to block the road between the eastern Euphrates and northern Syria to exterminate the people in the occupied areas such as Afrin, al-Shahba, Serê Kaniyê/ Ras Al Ain and Girê Spî/ Tel Abyed."

'Eliko denounced the international silence and the silence of the Global Coalition and Russia regarding all of Turkey's violations and crimes, and added," The international community, Russia and, above all, the Global Coalition must put an end to the practices of the Turkish State towards the peoples of north and east Syria, because the Turkish occupier aims to plunder the good of Syria and pursue a policy of demographic change in the occupied areas."

He concluded his speech by saying, "The Turkish State, first and foremost the AKP, is finding this solidarity and fraternity a danger to their policies, so it is trying to threaten the region to implement the project for the restoration of Ottoman glories called the Misak-ı Millî and the occupation of Manbij."
