Kongra Star calls on feminists to embrace struggling stance

June 23^rd corresponds to the first annual anniversary of the martyrdom of the Kongra Star Coordination members Zehra Bergel, Hebun Mela Khaleel and Emina Weysi that fell martyrs in a Turkish shelling carried out by a drone on a house in the village of Hilinj in the Kobane Canton in North Eastern Syria in 2020.

In a statement released today the coordination lashed out at the silence preserved by the human rights associations noting that corroborates partnership in these crimes.

''in line with the firsr annual anniversary of the martyrdom of the Kongra Star Coordination in the Euphrates Region we remember in deference all martyrs and those of Hilinj, we stress that we are still faithful to the march of peoples on the way to freedom and that we will not forget our martyrs that fought for attaining social equality and that they would remain alive in our hearts. 

We will proceed on their approach, that of freedom and democracy, to bring into reality their aspirations. The Kurdish women lead the march of freedom and democracy worldwide the reason that makes Turkey to target us everywhere.

We saw what happened in Kobane as female politicians were targeted that echoes targeting of Sakine Cansiz, Leyla Dogan and Fidan Shoylemes, by the Turkish intelligence and that of HDP's Deniz Poyraz in addition to those in occupied areas.

It was noted that MP's, activists, politicians, lawyers and media professionals are being on target tens of years ago by the Turkish state that contravenes all international laws and norms.

For the Turkish state is deranged by the emancipated women that clings to her people will, and defends freedom and land. Women are standing up to Turkish enemy.

We condemn and denounce barbaric massacres against Middle Eastern peoples and specifically against revolutionary and struggling women. We denounce all these dirty actions and war crimes committed by the Turkish occupation.
