Fawza Youssef: Turkish attacks on Medya, blocking water from Euphrates aim to exterminate peoples

Today, the Revolutionary Youth Movement organized a lecture, to talk about the importance of defense and resistance in the legitimate defense zones and the aim of the Turkish state's attacks. The lecture was held at the Revolutionary Youth Center in Qamishlo.

The lecture began with a minute of silence, followed by a lecture delivered by the Member of the Co-chairmanship of the Democratic Union Party, Fawza Youssef, who initially indicated that the war being waged by the Turkish state against the peoples is a psychological and economic war, and she said: It is a war against the entire Middle East and not only against the areas of north and east Syria because they seek through this war to weaken us, and are afraid of the democratic project that we propose in the region."

Fawza noted: "Cutting off the Syrian share of the Euphrates River and withholding water from the people of al-Hasakah city by Turkey is nothing but a continuation of its war that it is waging against the region with the aim of annihilation."

Fawza pointed out that "the clashes taking place in the city of Qamishlo have a depth, and they are orchestrated by parties seeking to ignite discord among the components of the region, but thanks to our people's awareness and belief in the democratic nation project, this sedition was thwarted."

  Fawza added, "The clashes and attacks on the legitimate defense zones in Avashin, Zap, Metina and Zagros are related to the attacks that took place in Afrin, Girê Spî, Serêkaniyê and others, which aim to exterminate the Kurdish people, and they are attempts to keep the Kurds without rights."
