March 15th marks the tenth anniversary of the Syrian crisis, which left a tragedy for the Syrian people, after the dominant powers intervened and deepened it.

In this context, Hussein Othman, the Member of the Executive Committee of the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party, said: "There is a struggle of regional and international powers that dominate the Syrian arena, especially the Turkish state, which entered at the beginning of the Syrian crisis and exploited the card of Syrian refugees who fled the machine of war and destruction."

He continued: "After ten years of the crisis, the Syrian people are still suffering, have not obtained their rights and have not reached their goals of freedom and equality," referring to the conflicting forces sharing of the Syrian geographic into areas of influence, and he stated: "These forces have torn apart this homeland."

Hussein noted that the Syrian people have suffered a lot, and the most affected are children, the elderly and women.

'The Syrian crisis must be resolved'

Othman stressed that a solution must be reached in Syria, but at the beginning, all segments, components, and sects of the Syrian people must agree and sit at one dialogue table in order to reach a political solution to build a new Syria far from wars and expel the occupiers.

He said: "We, in the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party, always affirm that the solution to the Syrian crisis will be in the hands of the Syrian people and inside Syria, not outside it."

'The conflicting and occupying forces must leave Syria, primarily the Turkish state'

The Member of the Executive Committee of the Syrian National Democratic Alliance continued, saying: "We demand the exit of all forces fighting for their interests, which have established military bases for them in the areas they occupy, and are practicing all kinds of crimes, immoral and inhuman actions against the Syrian people, from Syria."

Othman urged the international community to play its role in stopping the occupation and its expansion in Syria, calling for the removal of the Turkish occupation from Syria.

In addition, Othman emphasized that the Sochi, Astana, Geneva and other meetings did not help because they do not represent or serve the Syrian people, but rather deepened the Syrian crisis, and he indicated that "the agreement that does not represent the owners of the real cause is empty of its content."

He said: "We count on the Syrians to make their own decisions without any external interference, and to write their new future by involving all the Syrian components in the Constitutional Committee and drafting the constitution for Syria anew."

He added: "With strength, will and brotherhood of the peoples in the region, we will defeat terrorism and establish the future of a new Syria," explaining that if the Syrians join forces, arrive and know that their interests are between them with all their components, they will be able to reach a new, pluralistic and democratic Syria.

'Many families have been displaced outside Syria'

During his speech, Othman pointed out that the Turkish state exploited the Syrian crisis, especially the issue of Syrian refugees as a pressure card in its occupation plans, and said: "It has become clear that the Turkish state, since its interference into Syria, and its occupation of some areas such as Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, demographic change is taking place in these areas, in addition to the Turkification of the region and the imposition of compulsory treatment in the Turkish lira."

At the end of his speech, Othman stressed the necessity of Syrians standing together in order to achieve the peoples' unity and co-existence, and the need to sit at a single dialogue table that brings together all Syrians to build the real building-block for the sake of Syrian-Syrian dialogue to reach a solution to the Syrian crisis.
