Congra Star: 16 years struggle turned women into pioneers

On the occasion of the 16^th annual anniversary of the formation of the Congra Star Coordination, a statement was released in which it was asserted that they would proceed to fight for the sake of giving protection to gains made by women.  

The statement reads as follows:

''On the occasion of the 16^th annual anniversary of the formation of the Congra Star Coordination, we, women of Rojava from the heart of the freedom and peace revolution, the democracy revolution that was led by women heartily and faithfully, we offer our true and heartily congratulations to the leader Abdullah Ocalan, comrade and leader, who sacrificed dearly for the welfare of society and women, and in particular we offer congratulations to our comrades and icons that were martyred for the sake of our cause, for the woman to reach unprecedented stages of freedom, such as Sakine Cansiz, Beritan, Zilan, Laila Agri, Hevrine Xelef, Mother Eqida, Arin Mirkan, Zehra Berkel, Amara and Avesta, and many others of everlasting fighters, as well as to all women all over the world, that adopted the freedom path against serfdom''.    

Day by day murder, killing, abduction and arrest cases against women increase, whether in the liberated areas or in the occupied ones, in line with all offenses in other parts of Kurdistan, for the Heleng Massacre against political activists is one against and freedom of all women that call for a free life of the tyrant regimes that adopt annihilation physically and psychologically

Via the co-chairmanship system women is being enabled to play the supposed role, and by putting into practice feminist measures to protect all women: Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs and Assyrians. 

We give pledge to the leader to trace the way to his ideas and philosophy to create the spirit of a revolutionary people to stand up to systematic policies against our people in general and women in particular, based on this, we call on all women and feminist associations and bodies to unite and support each other, to enable women and to work hand in hand. 

We call on all the human rights organizations and associations to bear responsibility in giving protection to women that are on the way to an emancipated democracy in North Eastern Syria in particular and that aspire for peace in the Middle East and the world.
