Armed confrontation, casualties in Congress, Pentagon declare mobilization

A Pentagon spokesman announced the mobilization of National Guard forces in the capital to provide support to law enforcement forces, while a curfew will be imposed in Washington from six in the evening in light of protests by supporters of US President Donald Trump.

A White House spokeswoman also announced the National Guard and others providing federal protection services to the Congress building. CNN reported that the National Guard had been fully mobilized in Washington DC.
