Israeli alarm for fear of operations in West Bank, Gaza and Lebanese borders

The Israeli "Walla" website quoted sources in the Israeli security system that the latter was preparing for fear of escalation events in the West Bank, Gaza and the Lebanese borders.

The website said that the Israeli army is preparing for the outbreak of confrontations in the West Bank following the funeral of Saeb Erekat, and an escalation in the Gaza Strip, on the anniversary of the assassination of Abu Al-Atta.

The site pointed out that "the army is preparing for the possibility of launching rockets from the Gaza Strip, on the first anniversary of the assassination of Abu Al-Atta, so it has strengthened the air defense systems in different areas of the country."

According to what the website reported, "the army estimates indicate that the Islamic Jihad is convinced that the response to the assassination of Abu Al-Atta was not sufficient, and is planning a wide retaliatory operation, so the Israeli army raised the state of alert on the border with the Gaza Strip, in anticipation of security operations in the border area."

In a relevant concern, the site stated that "the Israeli army is afraid of Hezbollah carrying out a retaliatory operation, coinciding with the speech of its Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah today."

He pointed out that the drone that the Israeli army shot down yesterday, was sent by Hezbollah to search for Israeli targets, in order to carry out reprisals.
