Today, Afghan local officials said that at least 4 people were killed and two others were injured when a car bomb exploded near a police station in Ghor province.

The Afghan Tolo news agency quoted a spokesman for the governor of Ghor Arif Aber as saying that the explosion occurred near the police headquarters in Firuzkoh district.

On Friday, the Afghan authorities announced that 13 people were injured in an explosion in the northeastern province of Badakhshan.

The United States signed a peace agreement with the Taliban last January, stating an end to terrorist attacks in return for a gradual withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.
