A spokeswoman for the Alliance said in statements to the German news agency (dpa) on Saturday: "This system can pose a danger to the allies' aircrafts and affect relations among the Alliance partners."

She expressed NATO's concern about those reports, asking Ankara to search for alternative solutions with the other allies.

She confirmed the inability to integrate the "S-400" system with the military alliance's air and missile defense system, stressing at the same time that testing the system through Turkey will be regrettable.

Previously, Turkish media reports have stated that the government in Ankara had tested for the first time Russian surface-to-air missiles in operating conditions near Sinop city on the Black Sea.

Furthermore, the United States excluded Turkey from the F-35 program, due to Turkey's purchase of the Russian missile defense system, and threatened to impose sanctions on Ankara.
