Within the vigorous intensive efforts made by the Syrian Democratic Council to publicize its project and put it forward as a project to solve the Syrian crisis, the Women Office in the Syrian Democratic Council held a dialogue seminar attended by a number of independent women and political figures.

The seminar began with holding a minute of silence, after which the Administrator in the Women Office of the Syrian Democratic Council, Najlaa Hamzah, spoke about the symposium's main theme to open discussion to the attendees.

The axis foundations

The theme dealt in general with the emergence of governance and the growing interest in the concept and mechanisms of governance in many advanced and emerging economies which have become an important issue for all international and regional institutions and organizations during the past few decades which came as a result of deficiencies in the mechanisms of transparency and governance.

It also noted that the administration's lack of good practice and supervision, the lack of experience and skill increased interest in the concept of governance and became one of the basic pillars of success.

The axis focused on ways to apply good governance and define it as a set of ambitious rules aimed at assisting the managers in adhering to management in a transparent manner and within the framework of the accountability goal on the basis of a clear rule that is not subject to hesitation or criticism.

Governance measurement criteria regarding this indicator have been put forward for four domains:

1- The openness degree of  the country's political institutions.

2- The political participation's degree and quality.

3- The transparency degree and the acceptability given to the government by the people.

4- The degree of political accountability.

The axis ended by mentioning the Autonomous Administration experience  in managing the people themselves on the basis of transparent democracy that respects the right to self-determination, as part of the relentless efforts it is making to reach its goal of consolidating good governance.

Content of discussions

After reading  the symposium's focus completed, discussion has begun on the basis of expressing opinion in general and reinforcing the proposals to develop the existing projects to solve many of the problems facing the Syrian society.

The discussions asked the questions: "What is the mechanism for developing the Autonomous Administration and activating participation in it? What is the secret of the success of self-government in north and east Syria ?, Will the governance rules change with the presence of women?"

All discussions were about answering the questions raised, and indicated that success in the institutional work does not reside in bridging the gap formed in many matters that take the inertia principles, but rather that the foundations of decisions be flexible and can be amended according to varying circumstances.

The discussions attached the issue of women's ability to change the governance laws a great importance for preserving their rights and representing them in all political and administrative fields to lead society to an improved and better curve.
