Fire intensified, consumed all the tires in Beirut port

The civil defense intensified operations and efforts to try to control the fire, and the Red Cross and others were quoted that this fire could not lead to an explosion of any kind.

The civil defense teams, with the participation of army helicopters, are working to extinguish the fire, and the security forces have prevented cars from passing on the road near the port to make way for fire trucks to arrive.

All roads leading to the port, especially the Ring Bridge, were cut off, and traffic was diverted from the naval base towards Burj Al-Ghazal intersection, and traffic was cut off and diverted at Karantina and Saifi intersection towards Burj Al-Ghazal.

The area of ​​black smoke expands in the sky of the capital, and the air contributes to the spread of the fire in the port, while the army, firefighters and civil defense helicopters continue to extinguish the large fire from inside the containers and from its side to prevent its expansion.

A fire broke out in one of the duty-free warehouses in the Beirut port today, Thursday, a month and a few days after the massive explosion that occurred in the port and destroyed large areas of the capital, Beirut.

According to information, the fire occurred in a building containing barrels of frying oils and rubber tires belonging to an imported company.
