SDC, Popular Will Party singed understanding memorandum- updated

The Syrian Democratic Council and the Popular Will Party announced today the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the Russian capital, Moscow, on the Syrian political solution.

The Head of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, and the President of the Popular Will Party, Qadri Jamil, held a press conference in the Russian capital, Moscow, during which they signed a memorandum of understanding.

Qadri Jamil confirmed that the memorandum was made between two Syrian parties without any external dictations, and stipulates several items.

In turn, Ilham Ahmed said, "This memorandum will be a new step towards the Syrian political solution, so we are happy and hope that there will be continuity of work among all the Syrian components in addition to focusing on a political solution instead of a military solution to end the conflict and crisis and the return of the refugees and displaced to their homeland and the release of detainees."

The two sides will go to the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to Qadri Jamil.
